The artist is Serebryakova

Serebryakova, who had lived in his Kursk estate for many years and knew the life of the Russian village, especially fascinated the themes of peasant labor – harvest, whiteness of the canvas. Inspired by the creations of the masters of the Renaissance and Classicism, Serebryakova created the images of Russian peasants, the universal human forms that were tidy for them, without focusing on ethnographic features. Canvas „Two peasant girls “is a fragment of one of the options for the picture „Harvest “(1915) from the Odessa Art Museum, on which the artist worked for about two years.
