Attend the Fantasy Movies AMV Contest 2005 in partnership with Japan Expo, Japanim Spirit & Yatta.tv and give life to your favourite tune and anime mixed together through your video editing skills, taste and dedication.
What is an AMV ?
AMV = Anime Music Video
It's a Video Clip using edited animated sequences from Japanese cartoons or video games cinematic. An AMV can be as various as usual video clips, using large themes, telling a story, following the lyrics of a song, or just being beautiful.
Themes and constraints
Theme : Left to your appreciation.
Constraints : Chosen sequences must have a link to the anime or manga world. The use of pornographical or extreme violence scenes could bring to the disqualification of the AMV. This decision is left to the entire discretion of the jury.
Only one AMV submission per person will be accepted.
Support : CDs or DVDs exclusively.
Format : The file format must be avi, DivX, XviD mpeg1, mpeg2, or wmv.
Contest deadline : All AMVs sent after the 5th August 2005 , post office date, won't be included for the contest.

Frequented Asked Questions Q. : What is the correct duration of an AMV ?
R. : There's no rule but it must be short. Long video-clips tend to be annoying. A good duration would be somewhere between 3 and 4 minutes.
Q. : Can you give me some advices for the making of my amv ?
R. : You can ask questions on the Fantasy Movies forum. The FM Members and amv-makers there will be glad to help you.

Jury
It will be composed by fan and professionals of the anime/manga scene, including notorious amv-makers and members of conventions staff.
