The state of safety before restoration:

The picture is written in mixed technique on thick cardboard, covered with a layer of soil, most likely a violation of technological processes in preparing the base and the use of non -standard materials when writing caused the appearance of large -bend soil craquelure with raised edges, and mechanical damage – severe local deformations of the base . At different times, the picture experienced several restoration interventions: the surface was at different times covered with several layers of varnishes with a large number of inter -lacquers and gross records in the loss and scuffs of a colorful layer.

Complex of the events:

To eliminate strong local deformations and laying soil craquelure in the plane, the author’s cardboard on the back was evenly specified, which made it possible to partially eliminate the deformations of the foundation. Colorful layer and soil are strengthened from the front side. The result is recorded by strengthening with stripes of Japanese paper on the back. Interim duplication of the exhibit on a sheet of Japanese paper was performed, and then on neutral cardboard.

The colorful layer was cleaned in layers of late varnish coatings and pollution. Received and hidden records. The loss of a colorful layer is tinted. The picture is varnished and mounted on a tablet subframe.
